What does a typical day look like in OSC? Well, the best way to find out is to come and see for yourself! Our doors are always open. Here is a schedule of a ‘typical’ day in OSC:

  • 8:00 – 8:45 Check In/DEAR/CSI
Students check in from 8:00-8:15.  Students then read a book of their choice.
  • 8:45 – 10:20 Specials/Homeroom/ Project Time (small group setting)
During this time, most students will have a special. If they are not at a special, they meet with their Homeroom to go over projects, work on classroom activities or have project time. Advisors with a class in a special have the opportunity to meet with students in other homerooms at this time.
  • 10:20 – 11:00  Reading Groups (whole or small group setting)
Students are grouped based on current test scores and needs. Each group has a different focus based on the needs of that group. This typically changes each quarter based off of projects and standards- flexible grouping.
  • 11:00 – 11:25 Recess
  • 11:30 – 12:00 Math Groups (small group setting)
